ZWG was founded in 1989 as a limited liability trading company for machine tools, located in Mannheim / Germany . The company was trading mainly in pre-owned machine tools and heavy machinery.

In 1995 it moved into a larger office building (Bensheim), including three warehouses ( 3'000 m² ).

There the machines are cleaned, inspected and overhauled by skilled personnel. The customer gets a guaranteed quality product at any time.

The resonators of the laser cutting machines are being overhauled with genuine spare parts in a special “clean room “.

During the years ZWG has expanded its business activities to trade with complete industrial plants. Due to the internationalisation of business relations, the head quarter of the company was build in Switzerland in spring 1996. This created the basis for further confident and reliable business deals.

Parallel to the founding of ZWG Industries Holding AG in Switzerland the name of the company in Germany was changed to ZWG Industrial Engineering GmbH as concession to international customers.
